Visit to the Taichung City Taiping Yuhsien Social Housing

Visiting the Taichung City Taiping Yuhsien Social Housing is one of the pre-course (co-housing, community development, and sharing economy) activities. s.School invited two professors to lead the tour. They are Prof. Hsin-Yu Liang from National Taiwan Science Education Center and Prof. I-Liang Wahn from the College of Humanities and Social Science.

To let students know more about the issue of co-housing and co-living, Prof. Yen-Chieh Lo, Department of Journalism of Chinese Culture University, introduced on 27th March and led them to visit the Taiping Yuhsien Social Housing on 19th April. It was amazing that the facilities in the social housing were perfect. There were kitchens, yoga rooms, service centers, and different types of rooms.

It has always been a controversial and doubtful issue of social housing in Taiwan. Students took that opportunity to raise questions, and the Chief Engineer of the Housing Development Department answered them all. It is believed that the visit to the Taiping Yuhsien Social Housing would be beneficial to students on further study.
