In recent years, investors are interested in sustainable and environmental issues, raising the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) reports and as important as traditional financial statements. Companies aim at maximum profits in the past. However, they consider the costs and benefits on environment and society. This course introduces related subjects of green accounting, including green accounting, corporate social responsibility (CSR), carbon footprint, and carbon taxes. This course helps students understand green accounting and apply them to internalize of environment costs.

Practice for Industrial Carbon Footprint Inventory and Carbon Reduction Strategy

World leaders set a goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). Taiwan urgently needs talents who can perform carbon audits and assist companies in planning sustainable development strategies. This course will use actual industrial cases to lead students to follow international standard operating procedures to gradually investigate the industry's greenhouse gas emissions, analyze emission hotspots, discuss feasible solutions for carbon reduction, and carry out industrial sustainable path planning toward net-zero carbon emissions targets.

Seminar of Social Impact

In order to describe and evaluate the process and results of social innovation, and disclose it to the outside world, it is necessary to meet the requirements of global sustainable transformation with social responsibility. Based on this, this course leads students to implement an SRS social impact report through real project cases.

Internship of Social Impact

This course is tailored for the seminar of social impact. By cooperating with social mission-oriented enterprises or NPO organizations, it implements field methodology based on project practice, and leads students to complete an SRS social impact report in parallel with professional reporting expertise, so that the real social value of the objects can be disclosed.
