The Start of Multinational Courses

Due to the pandemic, it is harder for students to apply for study abroad. Not only are students not able to have internships or exchanges in other countries, but teachers are also restricted to stay at home as well. Thanks to advanced technology, online meetings were conducted smoothly. As one of the members of the MOST Program, Prof. Chen-Yeon Chu had invited other teachers from 10 countries to organize online courses introducing green energy and the circular economy.

So far, countless meetings have been conducted and contributions were made. Teachers from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Italy, the U.K., the U.S.A, and of course, from FCU. The name of the course was decided to be SGS (Smart Green Synergy) temporarily. The curriculum includes Smart Agriculture (from the Philippines), Biotech Food (from Vietnam), Big Data Application (from Indonesia) in Circular Economy, 5G Application in Green Energy, Green Buildings, Smart Energy, and non-profit organizations of Smart Agriculture. Each course represents the efforts of FCU on Smart and Green Energy. It is not easy for schools, universities, and professors to provide courses like that at such a difficult time. We appreciated the MOST Program and cooperation with professors very much. Let’s keep learning online!
