The Central Taiwan Inter-school Alliance was founded on 16th September 2019 and its members include 8 universities of central Taiwan. They are the Feng Chia University (FCU), the Tung Hai University (THU), the China Medical University (CMU), the Nan Kai University of Technology (NKUT), the HungKuang University (HKU), the National Taiwan University of Sport (NTUS), the National Chi Nan University (NCNU), and the Providence University(PU).

The purpose of the alliance is to ensure a comprehensive University Social Responsibility (USR). It is going to integrate the resources of 8 schools, advance the cooperation and information sharing of each other, strengthen the university's social responsibility execution energy, and cultivate talents to promote local development.

In this alliance, each school takes turns to hold activities every year. This year, the HKU is the host of the Central Taiwan Inter-school Alliance Achievement Sharing and Discussion Forum on the USR project (on Thursday, 11st March, 2021). Besides sharing the achievements, schools discussed several agreements:

  1. i) There will be a sharing forum every year in March or September
  2. ii) There will be an exhibition of achievements in November or December

iii) Each school will take turns to be the host each year.

  1. iv) The next meeting will be hosted by NKUT voluntarily and work distribution will be discussed in groups further.

The Alliance and the Forum show how great that schools in central Taiwan cooperat with and mutually benefit each other.

For FCU ourselves, we will continue to carry on more cross-domain projects and encourage all of our teachers and students (including international students and those who have graduated).
