2024 Taiwan Innotech Expo Feng Chia University Wins 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze Medals

The "2024 Taiwan Innotech Expo" was held from October 17 to 19 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. Feng Chia University exhibited six patents in the "Invention Competition Area" of the school invention zone, among which five patents won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. This year's expo included the Innovation Pilot Pavilion, Future Technology Pavilion, Sustainable Development Pavilion, and Invention Competition Area, with the theme "Smart Technology Island, AI New Era," showcasing the upgrade achievements of Taiwan's five major trusted industries and AI and semiconductor advantage industries.

The award-winning patents include:

• Professor Ma Shih-Hsin from the Department of Photonics and Engineering developed the "Lens Assembly with High Uniform Rectangular Focus Halo and Method for Adjusting Halo Size," which won the gold medal.
• Professor Lai Chun-Feng from the Department of Photonics and Engineering developed two patents: "Nanoparticles with Load and Release of Active Ingredients, Their Manufacturing Method and Application in Ophthalmic Devices," which won the gold medal, and "Luminescent Semiconductor Materials and Their Applications," which won the silver medal.
• Professors Chen Ching-Heng and Yeh Chien-Hung from the Department of Photonics and Engineering, along with Professor Chen Kun-Huang from the Department of Electrical Engineering, jointly developed the "Radial Polarization Conversion Element, Azimuthal Polarization Conversion Element and Their Manufacturing Method," which won the bronze medal.
• Professors Ho Chu-Liang, Hsieh Ping-Yen, and Chen Ying-Hung from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering jointly developed the "Method for Manufacturing Electrode Foil," which won the bronze medal. To implement industry-academia collaboration, the technologies exhibited this time are currently seeking technology licensing cooperation.
