Among Taiwan’s First: Feng Chia University’s Electronic Engineering, Automatic Control Engineering, and Communications Engineering Programs Earn ENAEE European Engineering Accreditation

Following its nationwide lead in 2008, when all engineering departments at Feng Chia University successfully obtained IEET international accreditation, the University has once again made history in 2026. According to official information released by ENAEE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education), the Department of Automatic Control Engineering, Department of Communications Engineering, and Department of Electronic Engineering at Feng Chia University have taken the national lead in successfully earning ENAEE accreditation. These departments are now among the first in Taiwan—and currently the only three nationwide—to be awarded the EUR‑ACE® European Quality Label for Engineering Education.

Feng Chia University Partners with Nikkan Co. to Unveil a New Integrated Technology for Energy Recovery from Cooked Food Waste, with Commercialization Possible in as Little as Nine Months

In response to the increasing challenges of managing cooked food waste in urban environments, and in alignment with Taiwan’s net‑zero transition and circular economy policy goals, Feng Chia University and Nikkan Development Co., Ltd. officially signed an industry–academia collaboration agreement and a doctoral excellence scholarship program on February 12. The partnership unveiled a new integrated technology for cooked food waste energy recovery, featuring three key advantages: high efficiency, low pollution, and rapid deployment. This collaboration not only symbolizes cross‑institutional and cross‑industry resource integration, but also applies Feng Chia University’s internationally recognized, APEC‑level hydrogen energy technologies to the local transformation of urban cooked food waste into biomass energy. The solution provides local governments with a ready‑to‑deploy pathway that can be operational in as little as nine months, offering a practical and scalable approach to urban food waste energy recovery

The 104 Job Bank officially released its “2026 University Brand Power” annual survey results today (7th). This year marks the introduction of two new indicators: the Regional Leadership Award and the Curriculum Benchmark Award. Feng Chia University stood out among higher‑education institutions nationwide, winning 2nd place in the Central Taiwan region for the Regional Leadership Award (public and private combined) and 3rd place among private comprehensive universities for the Curriculum Benchmark Award.

Chiao‑Yin Wu, a student from the School of Architecture, Feng Chia University, stood out among 16,329 submissions worldwide with her project “Silent Tomb: A Wordless Farewell.” She earned the Silver Award in the Architecture and Landscape Design category, an impressive feat in a competition with a winning rate of less than 0.5%. The Gold Award in this category was won by a student from Waseda University in Japan. Wu’s achievement—placing among the world’s top works—highlights her exceptional design capability and global perspective.
