Feng Chia University’s Jing‑Tsai Residence Hall Wins the Excellence in Architectural Space Award at the Taichung Urban Space Design Awards

The winners of the 11th Taichung Urban Space Design Award, organized by the Urban Development Bureau of Taichung City Government, were announced on January 19, with a grand award ceremony held at The Lin Hotel Taichung. Among more than a hundred competing projects, Feng Chia University’s Jing‑Tsai Residence Hall stood out and received the Excellence in Architectural Space Award. Vice President Guo‑Hao Tang and Dean of Student Affairs Hui‑Kuang Yu attended the ceremony, with Vice President Tang representing the University in accepting the honor.

The Ministry of Education announced on December 28, 2023, the national statistics of various aspects of university affairs. Feng Chia University has not only received numerous recognitions for its educational achievements, but in 2022, the university’s funding for “industry–academia collaboration” exceeded NT$600 million, ranking eighth nationwide. Moreover, it has maintained its position as the top private university in Taiwan for seven consecutive years in terms of government-supported funding.

Feng Chia University achieves high in enrollment rate, tops private universities in overall retention rate

On December 28th, the Ministry of Education announced the enrollment rates for the 2023 academic year. Feng Chia University achieved an overall enrollment rate of 96.84%, ranking second among comprehensive private universities. The registration rate for daytime bachelor's degree reached an 99.70%, while the enrollment rates for master's and doctoral programs were also above 92 percent.

Feng Chia University Library underwent renovations in 2000 and 2013, and was renovated again 10 years apart. On December 25th, "Sharing Good and Sharing Good - Library Space Renovation Opening Ceremony and Art Xiangtian Exhibition Tea Party" was held. Chairman Gao Chengshu, Principal Wang Wei, and all teachers and colleagues of the school were invited to participate in the grand event.

Feng Chia University has nearly 7,000 outstanding alumni in Malaysia and has maintained strong and long‑standing ties with the Malaysian overseas community. Since the establishment of the Overseas Youth Vocational Training School in 1964, alumni returning to Malaysia gradually formed alumni associations and began organizing the annual Feng Chia Night celebrations. Every year, university representatives and various alumni associations from different regions attend the Feng Chia University Alumni Association of Malaysia’s Feng Chia Night.

2024 QS Rankings: Feng Chia University debuts as the first among private university.

QS released the latest 2024 World University Sustainability Rankings on December 5th, evaluating nearly 1,400 universities globally through a series of indicators measuring a university's ability to respond to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges. In Taiwan, 19 national universities and 15 private universities made the list, with Feng Chia University ranking first among private institutions.

Feng Chia’s Brand Excellence: The College of Business Successfully Passes AACSB Accreditation for the Third Time

Feng Chia University applied for membership in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2006 and earned its initial accreditation on February 3, 2014, becoming the ninth institution in Taiwan—and the first in Central Taiwan—to receive AACSB accreditation. According to AACSB regulations, all accredited schools must undergo a Continuous Improvement Review (CIR) every five years. On November 7, AACSB announced that Feng Chia University’s College of Business has successfully passed its third accreditation review.
